What Should I Bring?

To ensure you’re fully prepared, here’s a checklist of items to bring along for your adventure with Fishslayer Charters:

 

  • Clothing: Be ready for any weather on the water! Pack a sweatshirt, jacket, or other outerwear in case temperatures drop.
  • Footwear: Wear non-slip footwear suitable for wet decks to keep yourself comfortable and safe.
  • Sun Protection: Don’t forget sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to shield against the sun.
  • Snacks & Drinks: Bring along food and beverages to keep you fueled, especially on longer trips.
  • Waterproof Bag: Protect your belongings aboard with a waterproof or water-resistant bag.
  • Towel: Perfect to have on hand in case of sea spray or unexpected moisture.

 

Anglers – What You Might Need

High-quality fishing rods, reels, and tackle are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your favorite gear! If rain is in the forecast, don’t forget a rain jacket or other foul-weather gear.

 

Families with Children

If you’re bringing kids under the age of 12, they’ll need to wear a Coast Guard-approved life jacket. Should you need one, simply provide the child’s age and weight when booking, and we’ll take care of it.

Where Are You Docked?

All Fishslayer Charters trips depart from the picturesque Cotuit Town Dock, located in Cotuit, Cape Cod. Here’s what you need to know about finding us:

 

Address: 1 Oyster Place Road, Cotuit, MA 02635

 

Parking: If you have a Barnstable Beach Sticker, you can park directly in the lot at the dock. If not, alternative parking is available across the street in the dirt parking lot near the Kettle Ho.

Do You Cancel Charters for Inclement Weather?

At Fishslayer Charters, your safety is our top priority. Here’s what to expect when it comes to weather-related cancellations:

 

Fishing Charters: Trips proceed rain or shine but may be canceled at the Captain’s discretion if weather conditions are deemed unsafe.

 

Pleasure Cruises: Either the Captain or the customer may cancel due to forecasted bad weather.

 

If your trip is canceled due to unsafe weather, you’re entitled to a full refund. Alternatively, we can work with you to reschedule for another date.

Will I Get Charged if I Need to Cancel?

We understand that plans can change! You can cancel your trip for any reason with the following guidelines:

 

Full refunds are available for cancellations made two weeks or more before your trip. Cancellations made within two weeks of your scheduled trip may result in penalties as outlined in the contract.

How and When Do I Pay?

A 50% deposit is required to reserve your date. The remaining balance is due before departure. You can pay via cash, Venmo, or Zelle for your convenience.
